For dietary advice for single animals, Swiss and European businesses can submit cases for healthy pets. Others should be referred to a vet first.
For all other queries or partnerships, no immediate limitations exist.

How to proceed

Both commercial advice, as well as referral of healthy animals is possible to you. In case you are submitting for pet owners, be sure to provide their contact details in addition to yours.
2. Plan the meeting
For cases it is best to arrange the call for the owners. You can nevertheless act as their representative. Otherwise, see which open slot fits your schedule!
3. Advice
For commercial goals, what comes next depends largely on what you are looking for. For pet referrals, the selected communication partner would get the advice sent to them and can request adaptations in the future!

Your client is ready to go "all-the-way" and wants an individually tailored plan for their pet? Then this is the service. After a meeting with either you or your client, we agree on the estimated price and start adapting the current diet. Whether commercial product based, homemade or a mix, your client can indicate their own wishes. If no changes are needed, only a diet check is charged.
The same submission requirements apply as for the diet check and are described below.
Price: 160 CHF / h
Max: 400 CHF (490 CHF when upgraded from diet check)

What do you need to prepare?
For pet referrals, be sure to provide all necessary contact details. Whenever there are symptoms that may require clinical examination, e.g. unwanted weight loss, vomiting or even general tiredness, please refer to a veterinarian first. Necessary details can be submitted online, or by uploading the completed English, German or French questionnaire. Wherever necessary, estimations will be used, which may be inappropriate for the individual pet and lead to more follow-ups. More thorough intake data thus cause lower total costs!
For commercial questions, you do not need to submit your preparation beforehand. The list below may guide our conversation.

Weight and condition
The current weight, if it's changing and how quickly. For growing animals, parent weights or an estimated adult weight.
Ideally have a trained professional check the body and muscle condition. There are validated scores that your vet knows. Photographs of the pet from above and from the side can be submitted as well for clearity.
Confirmation of health status
You (or the owner) will be asked to confirm there is no suspicion of disease. Consultations for diseased animals require clinical work-up prior to submission!

For healthy pets, you preferably submit what is currently fed (with is weighed quantity per day or week), of the pet can access food its own food (or other sources) without supervision, if it can be fed separately, how the food is handled and stored. The more details can be submitted, the less likely a follow-up will be needed.

Absolutely! Stones, intolerances, you name it, a nutritionist's job is to find a solution that fits for the pet and the owner! That also means that we can advise on commercial products as well as calculate homemade recipes. With diseased animals, we do need a veterinary work-up. We will then support all healthcare professionals in setting up a complete treatment plan.
To remain independent and unbiased, no products are sold with these services. That also makes the consultations a lot more flexible. Should you or the owner like certain products to be included, we can defenitely asses if that is possible!
You are very welcome to submit your own pets for a work-up too. If your business is a partner, just indicate yourself as an the owner during owner submission, and fill in the partner code as normal.
When submitting for a client, confirmation is asked that there is currently no suspicion for disease present. Otherwise, it would need to go through a vet first.
For pet referrals it mainly depends on the complexity and the extent of the ask. Compare for example a quick tweaking for a senior pet to a plan for a hunting dog that will change with the season. For the initial advice, a maximum is set.
For commercial questions, a format with deliverables is preferred. At request, this can also be changed to an hourly rate. Standard, this is 250 CHF / h but can vary significantly e.g. on whether we will cooperate on the long-term.
Consultations can be held in English, German and Dutch. French can be done with a little patience and translator help. There is also the ambition to provide advice in Italian, but that is currently left for the foreseen future.
